We met at Alum Creek in September, in that quiet space between seasons when summer hasn’t quite let go and fall is just beginning to whisper. The light was golden and low, the air warm but softer than the weeks before. Everything felt calm, unhurried, and full of meaning.
This maternity session was especially close to my heart. Photographing my sister, her husband, and their two boys as they prepare to welcome their newest little love felt like pausing time. Little hands brushing her belly. Bare feet in the grass. The way the boys stayed close, already curious about who was coming next.
These images are about more than waiting. They are about a family in motion, on the edge of change. About holding onto what is while making room for what is coming.
This was their last September as a family of four. And every frame holds the quiet magic of becoming five.
