February in Ohio is not exactly known for dreamy light or warm air. It is gray. It is cold. And as someone who lives for golden hour, winter always nudges me outside my comfort zone. But every now and then, it reminds me of something even better.
This weekend, I photographed my sister and her family inside their home. No chasing sunsets. No braving the cold. Just real life unfolding in the spaces they love most. We snuggled on the sofa. Danced in the kitchen. Let the kids move freely and fill the rooms with energy.
It was cozy and imperfect and full of heart.
This session was a reminder that photography is not just about beautiful light. It is about connection. It is about movement. It is about the everyday moments that quietly become the ones you miss the most.
Winter has a way of slowing us down. And sometimes, that is exactly what makes it magic.
