Just the Four of Us

There is something extra special about a “last session of the year.” It always feels like a soft landing, a quiet exhale before turning the page. This one could not have been more perfect.

A few years ago, I photographed this family’s first baby. So walking back into their home to meet their newborn son felt full circle in the sweetest way. Same warmth. Same love. A brand new chapter.

We kept everything slow and cozy. Soft window light. Gentle moments. The kind of pace that newborn days naturally ask for. One of my favorite parts of this session was documenting bath time. Not a first, but still just as tender. Tiny toes in warm water. That newborn stretch. His sister peeking in with curiosity and care. Watching a family settle into this new rhythm is always magic.

And can we talk about mom’s style for a second? Effortless. Thoughtful. So her. It gave the entire session a timeless, editorial feel and made every frame feel intentional and beautiful.

Ending the year with this family felt just right. A reminder of how these stories connect over time and how meaningful it is to be invited back again and again.

The perfect way to close a year.
