Inspiration In A Dress

To to say this session excited me is an understatement this, beautiful handmade dress from reclamation was the missing piece to this whimsical puzzle. This is my baby sister’s family and capturing a growing family let alone my own growing family is always an honor. Pregnancy is one of God’s greatest miracles, it’s why I love maternity sessions. It’s also why I feel wardrobe is so important! It helps to bring out the emotion that is often missed during life’s moments. I’m always inspired by my clients stories but I can’t lie I was very inspired by this dress! It allowed me to focus on the family without taking away from this mama’s beautiful bump. As photographers it is so important for us to capture the essence of our subjects, to make them feel comfortable, get that natural smile or touch, the effortless kiss! Throughout the years I have found what inspires me, yes, it’s my beautiful clients, the environment that is surrounding them, the emotions their outfits carry, all elements are significant to me, they bring it all together, they allow me to capture some of life‘s greatest untold stories.
